ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan

On 12 September, the Centre gave a lecture to the students of the University of Tokyo on the challenges in the region and the role of UNRCCA in addressing them. The students were particularly interested in topics related to the role of Turkmenistan in promoting peace and security in the region, relations between different Central Asian states, existing cooperation mechanisms and overall geopolitical developments affecting Central Asia. 

The lecture was part of a programme of the University of Tokyo which aims at familiarizing students with foreign policy issues in Central Asia.
