On 6 February 2019, in Ashgabat, SRSG Natalia Gherman met with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, who was in Turkmenistan on an official visit. The meeting provided a good opportunity to discuss regional cooperation in Central Asia in areas such as counter terrorism, transboundary water management, engagement of Central Asian states with Afghanistan.

The first meeting of Central Asian Expert Forum concluded today in Bukhara, Uzbekistan. The event was co-organized by UNRCCA and the Institute for Strategic Studies under the President of Uzbekistan. The event was opened on 29 October in Tashkent.
