On 7-9 November, Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General, Head of the Regional Centre for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia (UNRCCA), Miroslav Jenča, visited Moscow to discuss the issues related to the Regional Centre's mandate implementation and UNRCCA's specific problematic activities.

During the visit Ambassador Jenca was received by the State Secretary-Deputy Foreign Minister Grigory Karasin, Executive Secretary of the CIS Sergey Lebedev, CSTO Secretary-General Nikolay Borduzha. In addition, the Head of the Regional Centre held meetings with the Member of the Russian Duma and Chairperson of the Parliamentary Committee on the CIS L. Slutskiy, Specal Envoy on Afghanistan Zamir Kobulov and a prominent political analyst at the Moscow Carnegie Centre A. Malashenko.
