ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan -

On 20 March, Under Secretary-General, Director-General of UNOG Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, who was on a visit to Turkmenistan at the invitation of H.E. President G. Berdymukhamedov for participation at the official celebration of Nowrus, visited the office of the UN Regional Centre for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia.

The discussion with UNRCCA staff focused on current activities of the Centre in the context of regional and global challenges.

Mr. Tokayev also met with Heads of UN agencies represented in Turkmenistan to discuss United Nations programmatic activities in the country.
