DUSHANBE, Tajikistan

On 27-28 April 2017, the Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General (SRSG), Head of the UN Regional Center for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia (UNRCCA), Petko Draganov conducted a visit to Dushanbe for meetings with Minister of Foreign Affairs Sirojiddin Aslov, First Deputy Minister of Energy and Water Resources Sulton Rahimzoda and diplomatic corps accredited to Tajikistan. 

The SRSG discussed with his counterparts UNRCCA’s preventive activities paying particular attention to the Centre’s preventive initiatives on the management of trans-boundary water resources, countering terrorism, violent extremism, delimitation of disputed borders and preventing insecurity spillover from Afghanistan.
