Ashgabat, October 26, 2017: UNRCCA has attended the two days meeting in the frame of “Heart Of Asia – Istanbul Track 2”, which took place in Istanbul, Turkey, on 24 – 25 October 2017.

Scholars, officials from foreign ministries and independent experts from Turkey, Afghanistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan participated in the event organized by UNAMA.

The participants have discussed the topics about the Northern Neighbor’s view of Afghanistan: Threats and Opportunities, Northern Neighbor’s role in helping Afghanistan to achieve peace and stability and Obstacles to greater cooperation between all members of the international community in forging a common position on Afghanistan.

UNRCCA expressed its view on the way that UN can better facilitate the regional cooperation.
