ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan

Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General, Head of the UN Regional Centre for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia (UNRCCA), Miroslav Jenča, met with the Chairman of the Executive Committee - CIS Executive Secretary Sergey Lebedev.

The sides discussed main development and potential trends in Central Asia, UNRCCA programmatic activities, current state and prospects for cooperation between the CIS and the UNRCCA.

Mr. Lebedev informed on the results of the CIS observation mission in the course of the parliamentary elections in Turkmenistan.
