On June 27, Special Representative of the UN Secretary General for Central Asia and Head of UNRCCA Petko Draganov briefed the UN Security Council on peace and security developments in Central Asia over the past six months. On this occasion, he reported on the implementation of the Centre’s mandate and on the UNRCCA’s activities during this period. During his stay in New York, the SRSG also met with representatives of the permanent members of the Council as well as with the Central Asian permanent missions to the United Nations. He also discussed with Secretariat colleagues about past and future preventive efforts of the Centre.
