ALMATY, Kazakhstan-

SRSG and head of UNRCCA, Ambassador Miroslav Jenča participated in the OSCE Trans-Asian Parliamentary Forum (TAPF) in Almaty on 14-15 May, using this platform to advance cooperation with the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly.

Regional security issues were discussed, in particular the crisis in Kyrgyzstan, developments in Afghanistan, UNRCCA facilitation efforts in the water and energy sphere and counter-terrorism initiatives. SRSG Jenca was a keynote speaker in panel dedicated to human dimension issues of security.
