Publication “Security and Stability in Central Asia- Interaction with International and Regional Organizations"

 
The UN Regional Center for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia has issued a new publication entitled “Security and Stability in Central Asia- Interaction with International and Regional Organizations”.

This publication represents a compilation of materials of the international seminar “Security and Stability in Central Asia- Interaction with International and Regional Organizations”, which was organized by the United Nations Regional Center for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia (UNRCCA) on April 21-22, 2010 in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan. The seminar was attended by the representatives of the international organizations and institutes of strategic studies of the Central Asian states.

Speeches and presentations contained in the publication cover a range of topical problems faced by Central Asia such as activities taken by different UN and other international agencies to ensure security and stability in the region, threats caused from the instable situation in Afghanistan, pressing problems and development sectors of the region.

The publication is expected to be of interest to diplomats, state officials, academic circles and political analysts of Central Asian states and the international expert community that follows up on developments in the region.
