UNRCCA attended the Regional Technical Group Meeting (RTG) of the Counter-terrorism Confidence Building Measures (CT-CBM) of the Heart of Asia-Istanbul Process, held in Ankara on March 11, 2015. The meeting was Co-chaired by Afghanistan and Turkey.

 

At the RTG meeting in Ankara, representatives of eight Heart of Asia countries namely, Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, China, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkey, and the United Nations reviewed the progress of the CT-CBM activities and provided update on the status of the activities previously adopted under the CBM Implementation Plans. UNRCCA shared information about the UNRCCA/CTITF Regional CT project and on synergies with the Heart of Asia process.
