SRSG congratulated Central Asian states with the 25th anniversary of joining the UN
ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan--
On 2 March, Mr. Petko Draganov, the Special Representative of the UN Secretary General and Head of the UN Regional Center for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia (UNRCCA), sent his congratulations to the Presidents and Foreign Ministers of Central Asian states (Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan) on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of their accession to the United Nations.
In his messages, the SRSG underlined the constructive development of relations between the United Nations and the Governments of Central Asian states during the past 25 years, as well as initiatives launched by the Governments of the region. More specifically, the fruitful cooperation between UNRCCA and all Central Asian states in this period was also highlighted.
