TASHKENT, Uzbekistan 

The UN Regional Centre for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia (UNRCCA) convened a one-day workshop/training on interaction with donor community with the view of resources mobilization for the realization of projects in the Aral Sea Basin in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, on 30 September 2014.

The goals of the training were to ensure that participants understand the concept of donor community, to provide an overview on international donors and their projects in the Aral Sea Basin to discuss regional project proposals under the ASBP-3 and to develop proposals for further cooperation between the UN Regional Centre for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia (UNRCCA) and the Executive Committee of the International Fund for Saving the Aral Sea aimed at the interaction with potential donors for the implementation of concrete regional projects under the ASBP-3.
