TASHKENT, Uzbekistan

On 7 April, as a part of his visit to Tashkent, Uzbekistan, SRSG Kaha Imnadze met with Eldor Aripov, the Director of the Institute for Strategic and Interregional Studies under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan (ISRS), to discuss regional developments and cooperation between Uzbekistan and UNRCCA in the light of Uzbekistan’s Chairmanship in the 7th Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia, as well as in the Central Asian Expert Forum for 2025.

SRSG Imnadze noted the impressive dynamics of Uzbekistan's foreign policy activity, highlighting recent significant events that took place in the country, including the first Central Asia-EU Summit, the Samarkand Climate Forum, and the 150th Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union in Tashkent, commending Uzbekistan’s engagement on regional and global level.
