TASHKENT, Uzbekistan

On 4 June, as part of his regional tour, SRSG Kaha Imnadze concluded consultations with senior officials in Tashkent.

During his meeting with Mr. Muzaffar Madrakhimov, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, discussions centered on regional peace and security-related developments. Both sides affirmed the constructive and forward-looking nature of cooperation within the framework of UNRCCA’s mandate and reviewed preparations for upcoming joint events.

SRSG Imnadze also met with Mr. Akromjon Nematov, First Deputy Director of the Institute for Strategic and Regional Studies under the President of Uzbekistan. Their discussions focused on enhancing ongoing cooperation to support the Central Asian expert community’s vital role in advancing high-level political agreements. These efforts are crucial for promoting comprehensive dialogue, building trust, and fostering multifaceted collaboration to ensure durable peace, stability, and sustainable development across the region and beyond.
