ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan

In June 2021, the United Nations Regional Centre for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia continued working with young people from Central Asia and Afghanistan within the framework of the "Academy of Preventive Diplomacy" initiative. The students of the Academy participated in three training seminars held in video format:

  • UN Security Council. UN Security Council Resolutions. Youth, Peace and Security. Intercultural communication.
  • Prevention of conflicts and disagreements. Conflict settlement skills.

During the sessions, the participants of the seminars were informed about the UNRCCA and UN activities in Peacebuilding, Security and the UN Youth Strategy. Today's training seminar aimed to study preventive diplomacy in the region by young people in states of Central Asia and Afghanistan and build conflict settlement skills by understanding the content of a conflict situation and optimizing personal behavior.
