Fourteen countries involved in Afghanistan, including Central Asian states, have agreed to an initiative called the "Istanbul process," which aims for regional security cooperation. Countries involved in the process will work on the measures in order to create joint regional projects and to promote existing activities. The outcomes will be presented to the ministerial meeting of the initiative in Kabul in June 2012.
