ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan

On 2-3 March UNRCCA participated in the conference and exhibition organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s membership in the UN. The event was attended by H.E. Rashid Meredov, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, Heads of the UN missions and agencies, members of the Diplomatic Corps accredited to Turkmenistan, other representatives of international organizations, professors and students of the Institute of International Relations of Turkmenistan.  

The conference and exhibition were focused on the results, challenges and prospects of cooperation between Turkmenistan and various agencies of the UN system. The following UN entities, agencies and international organizations presented their activities at the exhibition: UNRCCA, UNDP, UNHCR, UNICEF, UNFPA, World Bank (WB), IOM, IMF, WHO, OSCE, ADB, USAID, Europa House, GIZ and TIKA.
