THE UNRCCA ACADEMY OF PREVENTIVE DIPLOMACY HELD AN ONLINE SESSION ON DIGITAL SKILLS AND CYBERSECURITY

ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan

On 30 October the UNRCCA Preventive Diplomacy Academy successfully conducted an online session on digital skills and cybersecurity for students from Central Asia and Afghanistan in order to increase the theoretical level of knowledge and practical skills in this area.

The main objectives of the seminar were to train participants in the rules and recommendations for protecting their data, devices and networks from cyber-attacks; test participants' knowledge and skills in cybersecurity through tests and practical tasks; and develop their conscious attitude and motivation to comply with it.

This interactive session consisted of a lecture and numerous practical exercises by Alexander Volgin, UNRCCA Information and Telecommunication Technologies Department Specialist.

The online session was an essential step in developing digital literacy among participants of the Preventive Diplomacy Academy because these skills are critical for today's youth, who actively use digital technologies in their lives and work. They will allow participants not only to interact in cyberspace effectively but also to promote preventive diplomacy and peacebuilding through the use of digital technologies.

The session was highly appreciated by the participants, who noted its relevance and practical significance.
