Publication “The Impact of External Factors on Security and Development in Central Asia”

 
 
The UN Regional Center for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia has issued a new publication entitled “The impact of External Factors on Security and Development in Central Asia”.
 
This publication represents a compilation of materials of the regional seminar “The impact of External Factors on Security and Development in Central Asia”, which was organized by the United Nations Regional Center for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia (UNRCCA) in Bishkek, Kyrgyz Republic, on 9-10 December 2015. The event was organized as a part of series of strategic dialogues conducted by the United Nations Regional Centre with the expert community in Central Asia.

The purpose of the seminar was to analyze security-related developments and recommend preventive measures. The seminar also aimed to look for ways to boost interaction among countries in order to address external threats and challenges facing the region as well as to identify a possible positive role of international actors.

The publication is expected to be of interest to diplomats, state officials, academic circles and political analysts of Central Asian states and the international expert community that follows up on developments in the region.
