In his address SRSG Kaha Imnadze underlined the importance of the health diplomacy in addressing crucial regional issues pertaining to climate-health nexus, having implications to regional development and security. Recalling the introduction of the regional Roadmap for Health and Well-being in Central Asia for 2022-2025 during the Fifth Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State in Dushanbe in 2023, SRSG Imnadze stressed the natural complementary and synergy with preventive diplomacy efforts led at the Regional Centre’s platform for the five states of Central Asia.

As part of the program of High-Level Dialogue, UNRCCA and WHO are also conducting a joint session on “Environmental Security and Health Diplomacy” to address the climate-health nexus.
