ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan
The Special Representative of the United Nations Secretary-General for Central Asia and Head of UNRCCA, Kaha Imnadze, met today with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan, H.E. Mr. Sirojiddin Muhriddin, during the Minister’s visit to Turkmenistan.
During the meeting, the Special Representative and the Foreign Minister exchanged views on the regional agenda and developments across Central Asia. They reviewed priority areas of cooperation between UNRCCA and Tajikistan, with particular focus on the implementation of the United Nations General Assembly resolution on "International Decade for Strengthening of Peace for Future Generation (20127-2036)".
Both sides reaffirmed the value of sustained engagement between Tajikistan and UNRCCA in support of the United Nations preventive diplomacy mandate in Central Asia and expressed their commitment to continued collaboration in strengthening regional dialogue and jointly addressing shared challenges related to peace, security, and sustainable development.
