DUSHANBE, Tajikistan -

On 2 April, Miroslav Jenča, Special Representative of the UN Secretary General and Head of the UN Regional Center for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia (UNRCCA), visited Tajikistan to attend the meeting of the Council of Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the Collective Security Treaty Organization.

The OSCE Chairperson, First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Serbia Ivica Dacic also attended.

The SRSG took part in discussions on the current situation, threats and challenges to security in the CSTO area of responsibility, including developments in Central Asia against the backdrop of the situation in Afghanistan and the Middle East, potential developments and ways to strengthen interaction between the UN and the CSTO.
